Hope someone can help me out, I have just purchased a second hand 9500 Storm. I have had it unlocked and am currently using the 3 network. the problem i have is that only certain parts of the keyboard are working and this changes every time i bring the keyboard up. I have read various posts on changing settings and the busines card trick which have made no difference to it at all. Has anybody else come across this problem. If so i would be grateful of some pointers as to what the problem could be. Thanks in advance, Steve

Have you tired a battery pull to see if that helps?

I wonder if the device has gotten wet? Since the keypad is associated with the touchscreen, water would play havoc on it.

Tried a battery pull which made no difference at all.

Not sure if it has got wet as i have only just bought it. If it had got wet with the previous owner is there any fix for it?

I went to Verizon yesterday and swapped out my S2 as the keyboard was beginning to fail. Sometimes I could push an area two or three times and there would be no response. Other times I would push a key and I would get 2 or 3 letters. New replacement S2 is the revised one with the different plastic backing. The salemans did not even check my phone before getting the replacement unit.

You may have found out why you were able to buy a second hand 9500.

I have a question, and this is the best seeming topic without posting a new one...

I've had my S2 for about a week now... and BBM chats show up in BBM and also in messages (as most know). I can't seem to EVER be able to type in a BBM chat through the messages page though. I've done battery pulls, I'm on the newest OS (5.0.0.607), I'm not sure what else I can try. Any suggestions?
