Will the BlackBerry Curve 8520 ever get GPS? I just wished they did another software update so we can have GPS!

A software update can't give a device GPS... So.. no.. your blackberry won't have GPS..

I have another qustion, i have got the latest Facebook app for my phone but my 'Places' only work when i'm at home or at my friends house up the street. If i'm at college, town or anywhere else it does not find a location :S

It's using WiFi to pinpoint your location. Without GPS you can get location via cell tower triangulation (often accurate to 1 mile or more!!) and WiFi. Reading locations based on information provided by WiFi networks is fairly new. Even a closed network broadcasts information that can be used for this purpose.
