Default Curve standby dim incomplete?

Please Login to Remove!

Friends:

I have a BB Curve 8900 running 4.6.1.114 and when I press the standby key, it acknowledges that it is entering standby mode, the screen dimms - BUT doesnt turn off completely.

Is there a way to fix this so the screen does dim completely? I have another BB where it does this.

Thanks amigos,
Migs

have you tried doing a battery pull? try that, then put phone in standby, see if that helps...

does this happen if you look at the phone for 5 minutes? it never goes off?
i would say you need to change the backlight timeout settings.

Midnightdraven:

After about 5 minutes it darkens. I will try the backlight timeout settings.
Do you know where they are?
