I have ben trying to download Skype on my Verizon Tour 9630 running BB OS 5.0.0.591. When I try, I get the following message: "Sorry, Skype mobile is not available for your phone. Switch to one of Verizon's best sellingBlackberry and Android 3G smartphones.

Can anyone help?

I'm having the exact same problem. I also tried it on another tour with 4.7 and had the same error so it was a OS 5.0 problem. Anyone, anyone..

1. Are going to skype.com/m ?
2. Are you using the BlackBerry browser?
3. Is your Browser Identification set to BlackBerry?

However, as I'm writing this i change my ID to internet explorer and it went tothe download page and downloaded and installed.

To get Skype, go to the VZStart page VZStart from your blackberry brower. Navigate to Get Apps. Find the Skype download at the bottom of the list.
