Default Odd BIS issue - email start coming in at 6:35am

Please Login to Remove!

Every morning, within a few minutes of 6:35am, my wife's Bold (Rogers) will receive email. Many of them are from late the night before (say, around 10:00-ish) and the rest are from throughout the early morning hours.

Auto shut-off is disabled and I'm at a loss to figure out why this is occurring.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Just on one email account? Or happening on all email accounts (assuming multiple email accounts)?

The one and only email account she has configured - Hotmail.

My guess is it is something going on with Hotmail, or something going on between BIS and Hotmail, and it will sort itself out. At any rate, there is not much you can do. You could try removing the account from BIS and then adding it back after a few hours, but my hunch is it will not make any difference, but will not hurt to try.

Sorry, I was wrong. It's not a Hotmail account after all - it's her own domain that is hosted. Interestingly, I used to host her domain on my company's Exchange server, and now it's hosted through an Exchange Hosting provider. Regardless, it's not a short-term issue. She tells me it's been this way for a year, possibly longer, she's not sure.

I just started looking into it now because I initially told her she was crazy - email get received in (more or less) real time - but for the past couple of weeks, at 6:35am, I've heard her BB go off when she receives email. However, throughout the day, everything is normal; she receives email on a regular basis and in real time.

What's interesting is the issue persists regardless of where her email is hosted. That has had no impact at all.

And if it's Rogers BIS service, you'd think others would have the same issue.

It's a weird one, for sure.

Over my head. Sounds like the people to talk to are with the hosting provider.

If this is BIS:
If you delete the account on the blackberry, and try to add it again at the time when you think no email will arrive - what happens ?

Does she have the phone to turn off at night and back on in the morning using the auto on/of feature?
