Then dumb it is, lol.
You'll need a third party app for that, of which I don't even know if one exists, offhand.
You might try searching the Aftermarket Software section to see if there might be.

No app that I know of that will do this. It's a legal issue in some states, but maybe there is an app.

I can't speak for the OP but I have found it handy for later reference. For example, it's kind of hard to take notes when you are driving.

It is not possible indeed. I had tried this some long time ago (and I'm sure its still not possible). It came out that I recorded my own voice only but not the voice of my dialog partner.

I don't know of a program on the Blackberry to record calls, but it can be done if you use the GrandCentral service.

There are many sites that offer fancy voicemail for blackberries, like youmail etc. I have searched and never found anything that records phonecalls though, which leads me to believe that it is not possible.

It is not legal in many states to record a phone call without the consent of both parties. In some states it is legal if only one party consents. That is the reason that the call recording feature is disabled on purpose by the OEM's.

I'm eager to trade in my outdated Treo700p for something more modern, feature rich, with a better keypad. Digging the blackberry bold... On the Treo700p, I use mVoice from Motionapps--works like a charm to record calls, which I NEED to capture details from calls with clients when I'm not able to take notes (i.e., while driving) Am I stuck? Forever bound to a slowly dying treo? Sounds like developers aren't able to crack the OS restriction. Won't Bberry listen? Who's lobbying them? It's a dealbreaker for me... and it sounds like for many, many others as well.

What you want is a service called TrapCall. I use it currently and I am telling you, this is fantastic. You can record phone calls, unblock hidden phone numbers, and even blacklist callers you do not want to have calling you.
