Default Server 2008 and MP3s

We're looking at moving our BES over to 2008 R2 next year, and want to make sure of the pitfalls before we make the move.

I know MP3 files are not supported if the Attachment Service is on a 2008 server since the mp3 codec is disabled. I really don't want to have to run it on it's own on 2003 if I can help it.

Just so I'm clear, this only affects .mp3 files, nothing else (we do not have any 7100 devices)? Our voicemail system uses wav files. Is there another workaround? For example, can they save the attachment to their SD card and play it back from the media player on the device?
