does that make sense? it may be a little confusing.

I'm trying to update a device through my BES. I've done two of them with no problem from 4.6.0.167 to 4.6.0.297. Now I try to upgrade a device and it gives the upgrade to as .167 not .297. Has it been pulled or something?

I bet your BES is not set up correctly. If it allows an upgrade only through the BES I think the OS has to reside on the BES server. I am sure someone with some black electrical tape will come by and confirm that or not.

issues found with .297:

1. Berry Buzz LED alerts don't work
2. I notice that the red dot near mail icon with new mail doesnt clear right away once an email is read.

other than that it's ok.

I don't have either of those issues. They both work fine for me.

I have not experienced either of these issues. What is the issue with BerryBuzz? Seems to work fine for me...

Nope BES has to be right. I did one yesterday and one this morning. Now others won't go through, doesn't give the right OS in the update to box. The OS doesn't actually go on the BES, that's carrier side.

I've also done this with no problem whenever VZW upgrades the Storm OS.

Default Visual Voice Mail Qs

If I am able to install the VVM app on my non-ATT Bold is there a way in which I can push voicemail there instead of to my current uk carrier supplied vm service which I access by dialling in to it?

I suspect not but curiosity has got the better of me.......

On Rogers with BES and upgraded to .297 earlier this afternoon. (To get reactivated on BES took the usual 40 minutes - more than 1500 permissions to get reloaded).
So far so good. Memory went from 25 on battery pull immediately prior to update, to more than 36 after. That 25 would drop to 15 within 24 hours. I know that after an OS install that memory will be high and that there will be some degration, but I haven't seen 36 for as long as I remember on an OS update.
It came up as Edge. I am in the middle of a strong 3G area (on the ground), but 3G is not reliable up here on 28th floor. I will watch as to whether or not the drop down to Edge from 3G is more aggressive on this OS.

I love this os. My memory is higher than it has ever been. It is actually above 30mb. Visual Voicemail is great. Just used it for the first time today.

I second the issue with the red dot. Also, don't know if it's an issue with the upgrade (but suspect it is), but my email has been inconsistent to arrive on my phone. It has happened all day today, I go 3 hrs with out messages and then wham, I get 6-10 emails at once. I was able to confirm this when I sent myself a message from a secondary email on my phone to my main email and was hit with 15 messages that didn't download. I've resent my service books 4 times today and same issues.

What's other people's experience after a full days use?
I seem to be getting better battery life. I was ending up at 20-30% by the end of the day, but even now at 3:30pm I am only down one bar on the batt meter. I had been plugging in my USB cable when sitting at my desk, but don't have to do that now, unless I really work the phone. But for normal stuff, 2-3 phone calls, check and send mail. A little web surfing, I seem to be getting battery life equivalent to my old 8310 curve.

I suspect AT&T changed how the device operates in 3G & 2G mode because of the lack of infrustructure they have to support all their 3G devices.

A.
I am with Rogers too and am currently using .282. Do you suggest upgrading to this OS? Running better in any areas?
