ok i'm running BIS and am using gmail as my primary email account. I seem to have everything configured right but every time i receive an email it sends me a duplicate copy. I have set my basic filter on gmail.com to Can't figure out whats wrong.

It's driving me nuts with all the dups. I've read on here that some people have issues with sent msgs being duped...but mine seem to be fine.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Go to your:

PROVIDERNAME.blackberry.com BIS settings and include your own email address (gmail.com) in the filter. Voila, you won't receive mails from yourself anymore.

that fixed the email's being sent to me when i send an email using gmail but it didn't fix the duplicated emails for all incoming mail.
Ralf, i tried your fix but it just ended up blocking all email from being forwarded to my handheld.

any other suggestions? i'm still receiving all regular mail plus dups. its terrible. can anyone help???

How did you setup your email? Did you setup mail forwarding AND BIS? That's usually the likely cause. You only need one or the other. You can forward mail to the @mycingular.com address or you can have the BIS system setup to poll your gmail account. But you don't need both.

here's how i've setup my main account that i'm getting double mail on:
my main email with my own subdomain is pushed/forwarded to my gmail account. then the blackberry BIS checks the gmail and pushs it to me. I don't have gmail confiugred to forward any mail to my .cingular.blackberry.net address.

i do have a filter on my gmail
i also have the "from" filter setup on the gmail address in my BIS account to get rid of any sent dupes.

any thoughts? thanks for all the help...this is a pain.

Dump the filter mentioned in the bolded part above.
