hi folks. for some reason, when its in the holster, my curve won't audibly ring when receiving a call. ive checked the profile and it is definitely set to do so. any ideas?

There is a setting that needs to be set to ring while in holster

Check your settings again. Check to not just see if there is a ringtone and volume level but if it is set to tone and not mute.

Sometimes the obvious is overlooked. Make sure you are hitting SAVE when changing settings!

If you are certain the Profile setting is correct, pull and replace the battery to reboot, often fixes odd glitches unexplainable otherwise.

RIM needs a setting on it's devices that when you push the button, the battery ejects!

Just curious... is there a "correct" direction the curve should face while in the holster? I know there is a magnet to activate the holster mode but will it work no matter how the phone is placed in it?

If you look in the holster you will see a groove on both sides so you could holster both ways.

Most drop in bottom of device first with the screen facing inside or towards you.
