Default Leaking battery ??

Please Login to Remove!

Last night I fully charged my Storm before going to bed. The battery is about a week old, that is practically new. I set the alarm, switched the phone off. This morning the alarm didn't ring and the battery was...totally discharged. How can that be ??
Anyone have any ideas ?
Thanks in advance.

Wirelessly posted (well lookie here!)

Could be any number of reasons from a bad battery to a short circuit in the device!
Have you tried charging again?

Well, the battery is almost brand new.
I recharged it, now it sits at 100% power. I'll monitor it.
Another question : when I switch it off thru the button in the home menu, put it into its holster (hard case, came with device), if I pull it back out, the phone switches itself on ! What kind of an off state is that ??
What am I supposed to do to REALLY switch it off ?
Thanks

you need to shut if off, wait for it to completely go dark, then put it in the holster. if you push on th top where the power button is as you are putting it in the holster, that will turn it on.

My phone is a Storm 9500. The power button is on the front side, bottom right.

So what may happen is when you put it in or pull it out of the holster, you are pressing the power button and turning it on. They are very sensitive on the storm.

You are right. the holster case is very hard and it may be pressing against the button. The only solution would be to put it in upside down, with the keys sticking out. But then, would the magnet work ok and exercise its standby function ??

well, if its shutting off you do not need the magnet function to work lol.

if you are leaving it running its fine to put it in the normail way.

You are right. LOL !
However, as far as the standby function is concerned, on which side is the holster magnet ? I need to know or it won't go into standby, or will it ? Unless it doesn't make a difference.
