Is there a way to block a particular number. I have a person I don't want to recieve txt from and would like to block this number. How do I do this.

You probably can find a third party application to do this.

If you call sprint, they can probably take care of that for you.

My friend had Verizon do that for him. He said what happens is when they try to text his number, they get a message that says "unable to send" or something like that. then when they call him, it says its not available.

This is correct. With Verizon, it can be done from the web if you have set up your My Verizon service. Call your carrier.

Sprint also has an area under your account info to block a particular number from texting as well
