Is anyone else noticing that on the Tour when sending messages to another VZW customer that it no longer displays the "D" for delivered beside the check mark saying it was sent?

Yes, I am noticing this too. Tried to look for a setting in message options like "show when delivered" etc. but didn't find anything (obviously not talking about "confirm delivery" for e-mail). I really hope this feature is not gone, I liked knowing that a text made it through to the recipient...

Go to Options --> SMS Text

The very top option is new. "Delivery Report". It is set to "Off" if you aren't getting the "D". Change it to "On" and you'll be all set.

I found it quickly because I hate having callback number on my text (redundant waste of data) and have to go in each time I battery pull or *228 and remove it. (The field re-populates)

Thank you also. I had noticed the d, but when I looked it was on a MMS and not an SMS. Mine was off too. I like that feature.

I had seen a Verizon rep say a while back that they were doing away with that, but maybe enough people complained because it is still there. I hope it stays.

They actually did turn it off for some areas of the country last year for a while. They were turning it off everywhere. The uproar was HUGE and they changed their minds and re-activated it. They listened to their customers and left it alone. I love having it there. Especially when you are trying to keep track of your kids!

I haven't had to use it for that, soon enough though, but that is a good idea.
Makes it a little harder to say that they didn't get it.

I'm new to VZW... I sort of hate when I get SMS from other VZW customers how it shows the call back number... how do I stop it? I can't find the option, nor did I understand the whole *228 comment... HELP! :(

This is a royal pain, in my opinion.

You can't.

Each person's phone has the CB number populated on their device. They can clear the field and you won't get it. On other regular phones, you can delete the value in there and it stays gone indefinitely.

HOWEVER, with every Blackberry I've owned (all the way back to a 7250 and everything in between), the CB number field repopulates when you: A) Power cycle the phone with a battery pull B) Restart the phone when prompted via a software install or uninstall C) Do a reprogram/PRL update via *228.

For whatever reason, i will open the options menu and change it to yes (save changes) and then it always switches back to "no". Anyone else experiencing this? Very frustrating! Other than that, love the Tour.
