Default Intermittent Email - No Redirection

Please Login to Remove!

Why is it that somedays I don't get email redirected and other days I do? Its from my home email and it is always on. Did I miss something?
What is the redirector?

Perhaps... Email application open yes. BB Device manager is open. Is there a separate redirector? Do I sound like a fool?

Sound like a fool??? NOPE!

Ok.... If the redirector is running in your Windows system tray then you do not need to have the email application open.... I *think* what is happening is that email application is downloading the email before redirector catches it... Which would explain why you are hit and miss

Also... Redirector is NOT desktop manager... Redirector software should be included on the install CD

I'm back...
Oh, by the way Lunkhead, thank you very much for your amazing tips. I've referred to them alot! Its difficult to read a prinout of your tips, type on the BB and drive at the same time. (joke)
Anyhow, I can't seem to find anything about mail redirection. I searched both my laptop as well as pc. I looked at the software when I purchased my BB. Nothing. Of course, it doesn't surprise me... after shutting the BB network and this site... (see "lost browser").
Where oh where can it be? Works sometimes...
Thanks in advance for everyones help!

It should be on the CD that came with the device.....

Oh, the tip site belongs to a mod here.... Stinsonddog..... It's his tips and they RULE!

Check the CD that came with the device, the redirector should be on there...

Ok. So i'm looking at the icons in my desktop manager versus the icons on the cd. I'm missing the email setting icon. Again not surprising.

Ok.... It's been a while since I used DM or redirector as I am on Linux...

When you installed Desktop manager it should have given you 3 choices.... BIS, BES or REDIRECTOR

Did you select redirector???

If so, then just make sure it is running and the email application is closed...

If you did not, then reinstall Desktop manager and select REDIRECTOR...

2 choices... BES or BIS. The redirector is actually part of the BES download.
I'm all straightened out now. Or so I think.
Now, if only I could change the calendar "keep appointments for..." Its gone!
