Default Corp. work around possible?

Please Login to Remove!

Ok, I did search but nothing specific on this. I work for a fortune 500 company and they have a BB enterprise server but it takes about a year to get added to it. (Don't ask me why) I have my own 8100 and want to be able to have my emails sent to my phone. The server downloads my mail to my local inbox. Is there anyway I can get around using the corp. enterprise server using my personal BB and get my emails???

Do they allow POP3 access? If so, you can set up a BIS account and get it that way.

Can you use Desktop Redirector? Or forward email from your Outlook to a personal email address that you can then access on your personal 8100 (not ideal, but better than nothing - you can also use BBReply to simulate email addresses)? Or use Outlook Web Access on your BB?

A few things to consider:

1. Forwarding email might be a violation of your corp's security/IT policies.
2. Forwarding your corp email may be a Federal violation if your corp/your email deals with ITAR/EAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations / Export Administration Regulations) data. Remember, ITAR/EAR is not about guns/bullets..it's about data transfer/export of controlled information.
3. "IF" none of the above are true, you can always setup a Rule in Outlook that forwards your email to your BIS account after work hours..or other criteria.

Luck.

Question

Thanks for the input everyone. They've disabled auto forward on Outlook. I tried redirector once but it didn't seem to work. I seem to remeber reading something that made me think I did something wrong. I'm going to retry. I don't think they have pop3 access. They do have web access, maybe via that. I'm open to any ideas. We don't traffric in any Hi-tech or military products.

Why not just bug your IT folks every day until they add you to their BES?

Not only have i tried calling them everyday but have 2 VP's calling demanding why have they not even answered me or their emails. My co. IT group's arrogance is beyond belief. On top of that I'm the leading director for what will vey possibly be the largest deal in the history of my co. I jokingly said that we'll have to call a shareholders meeting to get me on the BES The situation is ridiculous. I'm sure there are other stories out there...just trying to deal with mine.

I work for a fortune 30 company here and just get my emails forwarded. I think the company is too cheap to buy the BES for just a few users under 100 nationwide. Very frustrating, my persistence finally paid off but dont have the bes. I can however mask my outgoing email to look like it is coming from my work address and Ill get replies on my BBErry. Its not the bes but pretty damn close
