Default Browser is slow

Please Login to Remove!

Hey, so I am looking around for a stable browser to work with my new 9700. The standard blackberry browser is a bit slow, and I tried Bolt, and that had a lot of random issues with different sites. Does anyone know a stable version of Opera or something like that that will work with the new OS?

I just installed version 5 Beta 2 of Opera and so far it is working. Much quicker than the BB browser and Bolt. Much more readable than the Bolt Browser. I also like the menu setup and start screen. The trackpad movements are a little hard to control.

My sentiments exactly...no comparison between the 3..Opera hands down the best! Would like to somehow tweak the trackpad movements but doubtful. Would be the bomb if it were the default browser so that email links are launched in Opera instead of the BB browser. Can't have everything I guess.

Fully agree with both opinions above. For the 9700 right now Opera 5 beta 2 is the best choice.

Opera may not really be faster, it just appears that way in many cases since it tends to use proxy servers.
