Default Storm 2 952 Vodafone UK - Week 1

A few brief comments. Background is that I'm a blackberry addict, the keyboard type - 8100, 8310, Bold 9000 etc. I had an upgrade this time last year and went for the Storm 1, which was an appalling device - and I sold it on ebay and bought a curve 8900.

Upgrade time again and after reading the improved reviews, I got Storm 2 and have had a full week now. In summary, "it works". Trust me. Its quick, no lag. The menus are slick and logical. There are many new swipes and features I'm stumbling upon, but this device is excellent - probably what RIm always intended it to be.

Typing was my major issue with Storm 1 and I'm a fast typist on the normal keyboard blackberrys. So this was a tough test to be able to please me. What I would say is that at day 4 I am better than day 1 - but in summary, "it works". Never thought I would see myself say this - but the keyboard DOES work, and WELL. Be it suretype or full keyboard, portrait or landscape, it works.

The feel is much improved - no more just 1 character - you can type fast across the full keyboard and right from the outset with VERY few mistakes. There is a predictive text element and it learns and hints what you might be typing, and very quickly you get used to looking up and choosing - eg on typing poss from the word possibilities, by the time you get to poss, it has the option there and you simply click and keep typing.

Hope this helps some. So far I'm very pleased, never thought I could be. But this touch blackberry works, and well.
