Favorite font setting? (size v. clarity)
Please Login to Remove!
Does anyone have a good font setting that balances between legibility and small size? (To get more legible characters on screen.)
BBMillbank Tall 9 bold is very legible but very large, so not a lot of text fits on the screen. Right now I'm using BBClarity 7 bold. I've tried BBMillbank Tall 8 and BBCondensed 7 or 8 (bold and not), and these don't seem as easy to read.
Any other ideas for font settings?

I use BBMillbank Tall 7 bold, seems to get more content on the screen and is not too small to read clearly.

Unfortunately, its going to be VERY subjective... You'll get a lot of responses that aren't worth much to you. ;)
However, I, with young healthy eyes, prefer BBMillbankTall at size 7, no bolding (I find bold to lower clarity, with this font). This is fairly small, but I really like having a lot on the screen, and I don't mind the small size.
I read ebooks on my Pearl with Mobipocket Reader (which works nicely, once you get the hang of it, I just finished reading the entire Ender series on it), and for that, I use BBClarity, and a size equivalent to 7 (no bold). Mobipocket reader calls that size "15", but that doesn't correspond to the system font size numbers.
Also, and most critically, I change the background to black, and the text to a very light yellow, which is a combination known to reduce eye fatigue. Its a shame we can't change the colors for the email reading screens...
peace,
sam

Thanks for the replies. I know it is very subjective (and many folks have better eyes than my aging ones!). I was looking for some settings to try out, because it gets old trying everything and soime fonts seem either more or less legible on a whole screen than on the one-sentence 'live' preview.

I am currently using BBCasual 7, no bolding to get most on the screen. The font was the best balance between readability and size for me...

I also prefer BBCasual 7; however, I do prefer the bolding so as to get a better (for me and my poor eyesight) balance between readability and size.

I'm trying BBCasual 8 with no bold and I like it. (7 was a bit small for me.) You get much more on screen than with BBClarity 7. Glad I asked!!

I make my font as small as possible with bold. Yes, I know it's tiny but I want to get as much as possible fit on the screen.

Just read it again. I use BB casual 12 Bold for address book and options menu. I use BB casual 8 plain for browser. How did you change the backround color ?

BB Millbank Tall 12 Bold for these old eyes, and I'd go bigger if it didn't get ridiculous on the little Pearl screen.
The ability to resize text so flexibly was a big part of my decision to finally go to a blackberry.
It's too bad the Opera mini browser limits text resizing, because I love its functionality.
