Can't this be done with the built-in BB calender by setting up appointment reminders. Thats what I do. Does this program make it easier. I can't imagine it being any easier.

Default Imp. update - getting started guide.

Thanks everyone. There has been lots of feature suggestion and a few bug reports pouring in - on this forum as well as from the inbuilt Feedback menu. Will soon post a list of all Features/Bugs we have received till now. Thanks.

One problem that many users are reporting is that Alarm does not sound. It only displays a "Dismiss/Snooze" dialog box.

As many users have pointed out, Sound options get set under your Profile.

This and a few other settings are explained in a small GettingStarted guide that is included in the desktop download. For those who are doing OTA download, the GettingStarted guide is now available at www .mobylo.com (Again, can't post urls so ..)

We request you to definitely go through it atleast once.

Thanks.
Many thanks to them who have posted our urls as actual URLs !

Yes. You may want to read the accompanying document (Gettingstarted.pdf) for details and discount offer.

I can't get it to switch-on my phone to ring alarm. Default browser does this. Anyone have luck with this?

Does this alarm software have a screen flash feature and customizable vibrate feature? (i.e. two short vibrates followed by one long vibrate, for specific emails)

I'm still waiting for good alarm software that adds custom vibrates (or at least a library of 12 'distinct' vibrates) and screen backlight flashing. There are API's that does this on OS 4.x BlackBerries, so should be an easy feature to add...

For example:
Unimportant emails: One brief 0.5 second vibrate
Ultra-urgent emails: Quick S.O.S. style vibriate. ... short-short-short-long-long-long-short-short-short vibrate
Perhaps flash screen in sync with the vibrate (good if BlackBerry is on a desk), or flash can be independently configurable (but using the same "distinct vibrate")

Example idea:

Code:
Alarm Config Mode: [Advanced]

Alarm Profile #1: "URGENT"
   Ringtone: [Urgent.mp3]
   Vibrate: [S.O.S. Style]
   Screen Flash: [Once]
   Indicator Light: [Alternate Green-Red]
   Repeat Alarm: [Until key pressed]
Alarm Profile #2: "LOW PRIORITY"
   Ringtone: [OFF]
   Vibrate: [0.5 second]
   Screen Flash: [Once]
   Indicator Light: [None]
   Repeat Alarm: [Never]
etc.
(Or similiar concept)
Then when configuring an alarm, you simply select Profile #1 "URGENT" for matching to a phone number or to an email address... Since this may be overkill for many people, Advanced mode can be turned OFF to keep software user friendly by default.

One of you alarm vendors could perhaps do something like this, so I can get custom vibrates and screen flashing...

Where can you download this new version? The one at the Handango site, and the OTA one don't seem to have any of these new features, particularly the alarm icon or different ring tones per alarm.

Where can we get the new version?

Also, can I make a big suggestion? Put the version number somewhere in the program, and give updated versions new numbers. I don't know if I've got the new version and it doesn't work right, or if I've got the old version. If you had an "about" window that displayed the current version, and told us the version of the new one, it would be easier...

peace,
sam

Arrow How to get the updates.

Dear All,

Please check the version number so that you can be certain that you have got the updated version.

The version number is displayed when you click on 'Update' menu item. The previous was 1.0.2; the new one is 2.0 You may want to check that this is the version you got from Handango.

Also, Handango system takes anywhere between 8 to 24 hours to refresh files. In case you have downloaded the file and got an older version, you may want to download after a site refresh.

Alternatively, you can do an OTA from http://m.mobylo.com/ma.php. Please note that in case you do OTA, you may want to download the User guide separately - available at Mobylo!

Thanks.

Ahh, thanks for the clarification!

When I first checked, the OTA site had the same version as before, but now its showing the 2.0 version. I must have just been a little too fast. ;)

Thanks for your help!

peace,
sam

On the OTA it only has the versions for OS 4.0 and 4.1
What about 4.2? Will I have to wait for that?

Adwiv,

MultiAlarm 2.0 intends to give the maximum features that is possible on your OS Version. So, instead of settling down for a common minimum across both OS, we made separate versions for them, each supporting what could be the maximum possible features for your version.

Please note that these are the minimum requirements. So if you have got any OS version above that you need not worry.

Since you are on 4.2, both these versions will work on your device. However, we will recommend you to go for 4.1 so that you may enjoy enhanced features like Auto-Power On.

Thanks.

Thankx, although I had figured it out
I have somewhat started liking your dev team - very quick upgrades.
All I wish is all those apps were free :D, But don't really mind paying for good software.

coastieboy00 - The way to uninstall MultiAlarm is the same as any other application. Goto Options -> AdvancedOptions -> Applications. Choose MultiAlarm from the list and click on 'Delete'. Then reset your device.

Wasn't showing up there as an option. I updated to 2.0 and was able to uninstall then.
