Hello,

I've had my Pearl for about a month now and have a question. Is the screen supposed to go from a darker tone at top to lighter at the bottom? I'm not sure if I just noticed this after a month or if something is actually wrong.

This is most noticeable when I open a full-screen menu (i.e. the menu in the Browser). The menu is a dark grey on top and gradually gets lighter until it is a very light grey on the bottom (it actually has a slight pinkish hue to it. Weird).

It just doesn't look right to me. Before I exchange it I want to make sure this isn't supposed to be like that?

UPDATE: When I have a white background on my homescreen, the bottom quarter definitely has a pinkish hue.

sounds like time to exchange. if you are with t-mobile, your exchanged unit will come with the cool little myFaves symbol printed on the rear of the new unit.

My has it. It's light but i don't quite see the pinkish tone, that u are talking about.

So the menus are supposed to lighten from top to bottom? Can someone else confirm this is how it is supposed to look? It just doesn't look right to me but I don't want to go through the hassle of sending it back if the next one is going to be the same.

Yeah mine looks like that too, but I hadn't noticed it until I read this.. so it doesn't really bother me much.

Menus are supposed to look that way. Darker grey to lighter grey fade as you go down. Don't go exchangin' too fast.
