Default SKYPE on the Torch?

Please Login to Remove!

Does Skype work on the Torch using "ISKOOT"? Waiting for the Torch to hit Canada so I can upgrade from my Bold 9000 but would hate to lose SKYPE.

Very, very old news.. VERY.

I am still waiting for someone with a Torch to report back on how ISkoot runs. Superh3ro, you said it should work fine. Have you tried it?

i used it on my 9700 its ok for chat sucks for voice. it also killed the battery i can only imagine what it would do to the torch since its the worst battery the blackberry has ever had. thats my 2 cents.

I use IM+ Voice for Skype. It works great. Go to shapeservices.com.

Please help me, I miss my SKYPE. I looked for that iskoot in the app world and it says "no results found". Should it be under another name?

Please read the thread. Skype is currently only available on BBs from Verizon. When it will come to other carriers, no one knows.

I DID read the thread (no need not be rude BTW), but I understood from it that the other app called iskoot was replacing skype on the Torch.

Have not heard that. Maybe use Google to check it out?

Their device list is a little out of date.

I picked the Bold 9000 as "my device" and installed on the Torch.

Just started with it, and seems OK.

Mandel, im so confused with this downloading part. I used to have the iphone which was a bit easier for me.

How can I add the app on my phone if I cant find it in the app world? Is there another way to do it?

Okay, thank you so much for your help Mandel. I successfully installed it. Connection is not super clear but its better than nothing. The only drawback is that I pay monthly fees to Skype so I can call any number (just not skype to skype) and it doesn't work on iskoot. It says I need Skype credits.
