Default No "Show address in Google Maps" option for a contact?

Please Login to Remove!

I just switched from the Curve 8000 and just noticed that, after I installed Google Maps on my new 9700, I don't have the option anymore to pull up a contact from my address book and then select the menu button and see "show address in Google Maps". This means that I have to open a contact, copy the address, and paste it into Google Maps every time I want to navigate to a contact's address. Is there a fix to this that I've missed?

BTW, I'm running the latest OS (5.0.0.351)

Wirelessly posted (White and Nerdy)

I just checked and I got the option...

Uninstall google maps, restart the phone, and reinstall. You should be fine after that

I just checked... working on my 9700 w/ the .415 OS. Do you have the latest Google Maps? Google Maps v 3.2.1 is the latest.

I don't see that option either. I have the latest google maps. Wondering if it's the bb os or AT&T.

Doesn't show in Google maps for me, but if you go to contacts and select the person, on the blackberry menu you can find you can see it on google maps.

Yes, that's the problem. I no longer have that feature. I'm running the latest OS and the latest download straight from Google (and I'm on AT&T). This worked before with my Curve so I can't imagine it being a issue with AT&T (but you never know). I guess I need to contact RIM and Google somehow and report the bug. So, is anyone else having this problem?

It's the third option from the top. Once you're in Contacts, open a contact and press menu. It should be up there.

This is the VERY problem I'm having. This option isn't available to me. Here's a screenshot of what I get when selecting a contact and clicking on the menu button:

Here's proof that I'm running the latest version of Google Maps:

...And here's my OS info:

Ok, I when ahead and upgraded to 415 (although I know it's not an official release). It fixed my SMS number flaw (as has been mentioned in another thread) but I still have this problem! Very strange. Is anyone else having this issue? Maybe it's time to do a JL Commander wipe and start over?

BTW, I'm doing an OTA install for Google Maps each time I try this...

Ahh!! Problem solved!! I had to do a shut down and battery pull for the Google Maps menu item to start showing up. Thanks everyone for all your help though. At least I've finally gotten the nerve to install the beta OS on my phone!

Congrats... remember the BlackBerry battery motto: "When in doubt, pull it out".
