If its not announced on RIM's website, or sent from a RIM email address, or even providing basic information to identify you, its BS. I can take one look at this email and tell you it screams "phishing".

Absolutely NOT! Never give out your personal info to ANYONE through emails or other texts. They are looking to steal your personal I'D and $$. Call RIM if you doubt me.

Geeze! Is it a scam?

Your name, address, phone number, etc., and then the real prize, "* You are required to send a scan copy of your passport or drivers license along with the verification requirement."

In other words, "We want to use your identity, please give it to us."

If only there were some agency out there signing me up for *free* lotteries and then sending me all of the "grand prize" announcements! That would be pretty cool ... but this world ain't that one.

YES!!!! This is a scam!!! If you won something, they would NOT, I repeat, they would NOT need you to tell them who you are and what phone you are using!!!

Besides, did you enter a contest to win something like this???? If you did not enter a contest or remember entering it, then this is totally a scam!

Never, ever, give out your personal info to anyone that you do not know!!! Especially when they contact you saying you won something!!!!

But just FYI to all for the entertainment value of it, I got one today. FEDEX Nigeria has my lottery check, but there is postage is due, only $95. They'll forward the check if I just pay the postage.

Well then, for God's sake, mail the postage!!! You could be worth millions of Nigerian Buck's!

By the way, there is a trunk full of cash, stuck in customs. So, if you claim your millions, would you loan me a little to get my trunk delivered? I'll give you 10%! ;)
