When I do the "switch device" procedure in the Desktop software I seem to be unable to select only the data I'd like to take without having all the other security restrictions too (from BES).
Any idea how I can migrate ONLY my address book, and calendar to my new device without anything else .... heck, I'd be thrilled just to get my address book moved over.
Any help much appreciated!

Welcome to the forums.

You can use the Advanced Restore to restore only the databases you want to the new device.
