Have you also lost any emails or messages? How much free memory do you have left?

Options > Status

Are they still on your desktop calendar?

Are they all day events? If so, they will not show in the Today screen (unfortunately).

Also, if you are running a 4.5.xxx OS, it's possible that you have entries in multiple calendars on your Blackberry. The today themes only look at one, which could explain the missing entries.

When you open the calendar app, are the text/backgrounds for the 'missing' items the same as for the ones that show up on the today screen? The 4.5.xxx calendars are color coded - one for each email address that you have set up on your phone.

I don't know if 4.3 supports multiple calendars, but you can verify by going to OPTIONS / ADVANCED OPTIONS / DEFAULT SERVICES. If you see an entry for Calendar (CICAL), then your device does support multiple calendars and my link may apply.
