Please Login to Remove!

Hi guys,

I currently on BlackBerry Premium Data Plan and here's the problem i am facing right now.

- I just upgraded my OS version to the latest 7.1 and after I reboot the BB I can't access BlackBerry Protect and it shows me a error message " The service plan for your BlackBerry device does not support this application. Please contact your service provider for additional information or to update your service plan" I can't serve facebook/twitter with the same error message! While on the other side i can use Whatsapp normally..

*Just fyi : For 3G BlackBerry Premium Data Plan, it will show the blackberry logo on the top right corner but now it doesn't shows.. (I am from Singapore btw)

Please, only one thread per problem. Your second thread has been deleted.

First, try a battery pull, with the device on, remove the battery for 30-60 seconds, then put the battery back in and let the device reboot.

If that doesn't work, then you will need to call your carrier and make sure the BB dataplan is properly activated and set up for your device.

Is this device on BIS or a company BES?

Hi thanks for replying.

I did a battery pull and removed the battery and put back as stated above but it doesn't help..

I tried using my another BB Bold 9000 and it doesn't have any problems (In fact it shows the BB Logo and i can use facebook/twitter etc)

My device is personal use not company BES, so its BIS i presume.

Is it after i upgrade the OS version problem?

It could be the OS upgrade. It generally wipes everything out.

Have you restored from the backup?

Have you re-registered via the host routing table?

Have you resent service books (see the FAQ)?

If all of this doesn't work call your carrier for technical assistance.

This happened to many T-Mobile users on 9900s when T-Mobile released 7.1, including me. As I recall, resending service books was reported by some to have fixed the problem. I tried resending service books, hard reset, deleting and reinstalling Protect, and then left it alone overnight while I slept. In the morning I resent service books and all was well.

My advice is same as Dubdub's...Talk to your service provider. I doubt the problem is you. It may be something you have to live with until it sorts out, unless you downgrade.
