Default How much longer until the Verizon .113 push?

Please Login to Remove!

All,

Thanks for all the great advice on the BB Forum. Great stuff. This is the only reason I've kept my Storm for so long.

If Verizon doesn't push the official .113 or whatever the latest OS is very soon, I'm jumping ship to the iPhone. I've been a BB user for years and thought the Storm would be the iPhone equivalent. Unfortunately, it's 2 or 3 years behind and may never catch up.

I can either hook up the iPhone to the network at work or carry two devices (a BB issued by my work -- not a Storm -- and a personal iPhone).

Does anyone know anything concrete on the official release? Someone on the Forum posted April 15 but that date has obviously come and gone.

I haven't installed anything on my personal computer so everything I'm getting is through downloads.

Help?

Well, that threat ought to do the trick.

Since .122 is already being tested, and no one knows ANYTHING definitive, you may have to start shopping. All the dates were speculation and guessing. They've all come and gone.

Not that I trust anything the store employees say, I was told 117 was being released in two weeks.

Verizon hasn't released .113 as you know, but it has been released for the 9530. You could download it to your PC and install it on your device. Is there any reason that you're opposed to doing this. All of the OS's are released by RIM. The .113 that's already been released is going to be the EXACT same .113 that Verizon releases.

If your going to an iPhone, you may want to wait for the 3.0. Most likely there will be new hardware as well as the 3.0 software.

The Iphone is a toy no comparison to the storm just more proprietary junk from apple.

Do yourself a favor download .122 do a clean install and enjoy what the storm should have been from the start.

I just downloaded .113 to my PC and installed in on the 9530. I like the full keyboard in portrait mode and the editing tool is much easier (i.e., easier to place the cursor exactly where you want to make edits). The flip from portrait to landscape and vice-versa doesn't seem that much quicker.

Any other benefits from the .113 upgrade?

Thanks!
