Thank You for the help! I am also a T-Mo customer but this worked like a charm. I've got the new OS up and running and I look forward to no more deleted call-logs and sms texts.
Thanks again, this is the best forum EVER!

I did the upgrade this morning no problems at all. The only problem was installing the new DM last night. It wouldn't install because it said DM was already running (it wasn't in TM), so I had to delete it and do it over. It took a few minutes for MyFaves icon to appear, and one of the pix was blank and all of the RTs were wiped, not a biggie. However the Colorball app I bought is now the trial and I don't have to keycode they sent me way back when.

Has anyone even taken a look at the current vendor.xml? It's blank. Therefore there is no need to remove/edit it to INSTALL the OS, only to UNLOCK the addtional themes.

Deleting the vendor file doesn't unlock themes. It's the blackberry.alx file. Deleting the vendor file allows non T-Mobile phones to upgrade.

AT&T Customer
As an AT&T customer and former T-Mobile customer I was sceptical to upgrade to anything from T-Mobile. I upgraded from .96 and so far have had no problems. Everything worked after the upgrade as all my settings were restored. I will use it for a little while more and report any problems that I encounter.

I never even look at it. I delete it ALWAYS no matter who released the OS.
Also, I recommend the Desktop Manager from the Blackberry.com website rather than the one that Tmo still has listed. Theirs is an old version (big surprise there.)

BB Maps
Anyone remember how to get the BB Maps icon to show again after the upgrade? This is the only problem that I have experienced so far.

As an aside: what (pray tell) does a newer version of DM do for a guy like me? I only use it to synch Outlook, backup/restore, and load new apps/os. That's it. The first one I got did all that stuff, and I had a mess of a time getting the one from Tmob to install last night.

I have it. I can't tell what it is but it says "Maps" when I scroll over it.

Has anyone noticed better connectivity with BT headsets on the new release? Many users have reported that some headsets randomly disconnect/reconnect every few seconds or minutes (I have this problem with my Plantronics 510).
Curious if this release helps with that issue since the post on page 2 states improved BT stability with headsets.
Thanks,
John

i have .101
if i goto .103....will my DIMENSION TODAY PLUS THEME remain with ICONS?
i like the icons, because you could see 20 apps at a time, vs. the 6 or 7 with the list view...
thanks,

When I first got the OS with change from list to icons I didn't like it I was used to list. But really when you think about it the list goes perfect with the trackwheel but the grid view is perfect for trackball as you can navigate side to side.

I have the same headset and I tried it yesterday and I had no disconnects. But I need to do more testing before I declare it definetly improved but yesterday I had no problems
