What do I have to give Fido to let them sell me a data plan for my 8700r as they only support the Pearl. They initially told me to go away when I asked how to get the 8700r to work just as a phone but then I got it working somehow.
The display says "edge" and I can make and receive calls but last time I talked to them they said they needed the PIN or serial of the Pearl before they could add Blackberry service to my plan.

They should only need the PIN and IMEI #. Both are viewable under options, status or by removing the back cover and battery.

If you are on "edge" as opposed to "EDGE" that means you don't have a proper data connection.

They should be able to provision a BB data plan on your account, just the same as they would provision one for the Pearl. Wouldn't think that would be a big deal.

Anyone have any problems with 4.5.0.124 software causing "Enter Key" to act as down arrow in call log and the Pause & Wait entries are displayed as a black blob in address book and cause the call to drop when used.
