Upon installing and launching the app on my windows pc it crashes when I try to open it. Obliviously it is conflicting with some other app on this computer.

I don't even know where to start with this one.

Any suggestions as to how to debug this?

Are you running any apps at the same time? When you mean your PC crashes does it freeze, BSOD, or something else?

Before launching it I would open the task manager (ctrl+alt+delete) and end and uneeded tasks then launch it.

What OS are you running on your PC? And which version of the Desktop Manager and Media Sync.

I am running no other apps other than the desktop manager and media sync. Even when I try media sync by itself it won't even open. I just get a quick error message stating that the software has a problem and must close. The error message than closes on it's own quite quickly.

My OS is Windows XP Pro with Service pack 3 and the Desktop Manager is v 4.7.

Do they still crash if you launch it without the BlackBerry or only when it's plugged in?

And just to confirm, both the desktop manager and media sync app both crash.

Media Sync crashes but not Desktop Manager.

Crashes either plugged in or not.

I would try and download Media Sync seperately, and attempt to install it that way.

See if that doesn't crash.

Do you have the latest version of iTunes?

I have tried a separate download and install. The situation remains the same. Itunes is always updated. I have even tried running a registry cleaner program prior to an install. No luck.
