Question Upgrading my BB's OS from 4.1.x to 4.2.x

Please Login to Remove!

I've just bought my first BB 8700g here in Mexico City. I want to upgrade the OS from 4.1 to 4.2 but: I wanna know if I must download the new 4.2 version from my carrier (telephony service provider) that is "Telefonica Movistar" or I can use any 4.2 OS I can find on the internet?

I want to upgrade the OS but I dont wanna lose the movil telephony service.

Thanks to anyone who can help me.

Wirelessly posted (8700g: BlackBerry8700/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

You can use any carrier OS for the 8700g.
