Exclamation Difference from the Curve to the Bold?

Please Login to Remove!

I have the Curve and was wondering whats the difference between the two devices?

I also had the Iphone for a short period of time, the only thing about the iphone I liked was the web, it was much easier to browse.

Is the Bold going to have a better browsing experence?

I really want to upgrade and get the bold but not sure if the upgrade is worth it, help if you can?

My wife has the curve and I have the Bold now for about a month.

The browser is definitely better on the bold, but I am not sure if you get the same experience with the 4.5.0.88 firmware for the Curve. I would say try that first.

The bigger difference is the screen on the bold is slightly higher resolution so you can see more of the page. (same resolution as the iPhone)

Also the Bold's processor is about twice as fast, and on 3G the browsing experience can be quite usable.

I however would be pretty satisfied if I where to use the bold with the 4.5 OS improvements.

Like

- 3G speeds
- WiFi plus GPS
- Better keyboard (IMO)
- Better build
- Better screen
- Better browser and other 4.6 features

Don't like

- Bigger (though I'm warming to it)
- Heavier (though I'm warming to it)
- Def poorer battery life. Have to manage what's left switched on. With my 8300 Curve I just left Bluetooth on too, and it was fine. Messing with WiFi/GPS/3G def makes the battery drain fast. You can't have it all (yet!).

Perfect compromise for me may be the new 8900, but not sure if we'll get 3G as an option and the battery life may be worse (smaller battery?)

I have had a Pearl for almost 2 years and really love the small form factor. I am infatuated with the Bold. I checked out a Bold dummy phone at bestbuy yesterday and it does not feel as big as it looks. I played with a family member's 8800, which is big, but more squared than the Bold. The Curve size is ok, but I don't like the small keys. Now what? LOL!!!
