I am assuming this version does not support threaded sms. I am also guessing that the way it will work is that you have to add a contact to bbm as a phone number so that it can be threaded through BBM.

Anyone have any insights?
I have Threaded SMS working on an 8900 running BBM 5.0.0.6. I can contacts directly by selecting Add Contact and entering their phone numer rather than PIN. Contacts are also added when I receive an SMS from them. In both cases they show as 'SMS Contacts' in the BBM Buddy list.

This is not the case on my Bold running BBM 5.0.0.8.
Where did you get that version? I have the 5.0.0.8 version on my Curve 8900. It doesn't allow me to add a phone number.

Its the version I got early in the BBM5 OTA "leaks". I have been very careful not to lose it.

5.0.0.6 = Threaded SMS
5.0.0.8 = No Threaded SMS

Doesn't seem to work on .190, worked fine on .130. I wonder if the version for 5.1 would work.....

too many hassles. every time i did a quick pull, half my contacts would disappear. so i reverted back to 4.6. will stick to it till there a is a more stable beta..

Anyone noticing that when a contact in not available or bussy the status does not change? I sent a message to a friend of mine who is offline, but she still shows as available in my contact list...
