Default 8100 Bluetooth Voice dial ?

Please Login to Remove!

Ok I did some searching any I cant seem to find an answer to this.

is there a Bluetooth headset that will work with my 8100 and allow me to use voice dial from teh headset? What I mean is this. I want to have the phone in my pocket and while I am wearing the headset I want to press the headset bbutton and initiate a voice dialing session with the 8100..
seems like all I can do is redial a number when I press the headset button and if I hold it down longer the headset turns off.

anyone else see this issue and got around it?

Any headset that's compatible with your phone should work that way. I have the Motorola HS805 and I dial that way all the time. Also, one quick press is all it should take. You hold it a little longer and yes.....it redials.

I am trying this with a motorolla HS820 I had it with my old phone so I thought it would work fine.
I guess I will need to try another one and see how it goes.

does anyone else have a HS 820 and got voice dialing to work?

Motorola HS820 Bluetooth Headset - $49.95 shows that it is compatible with the Pearl. Keep trying unless your headset went bad that you can't use voice dial.

Hmmm not sure what is going on. I will keep fiddling with it and see if I can get it to work at least once.
If anyone else has any tips let me know.

Thanks for the posts so far! I used to have a 7230 and I finally upgraded and really love the pearl.

The Blackberry branded HS-655 made by Plantronics works well with voice dial. It's what I use. Search for HS-655 on this forum for lots of info on the 655.
