Default Blackberry 7105t on my 2006 Lexus GS300

Hopefully someone can help...

My Blackberry 7105t is working beautifully with the GS using Bluetooth, but I can't figure out how to send my address book from the phone to the car. I hit "Transfer" on the Bluetooth menu and it asks me to send the information from my phone, but I can't figure out how.

Anyone using a Blackberry with the Lexus Phone System?

I do work for Lexus. There are only certain approved phones, but I do think you should be able to transfer your phone book with no problems. You should be able to go to your contact list, highlight the contact, then you should have several options - send via bluetooth or send business card or send contact, something of that nature.

I have not yet transferred the phone book on your particular model. But I would imagine it would not be too different from other phones or pdas.

By the way, if you do call Lexus customer service, they will only tell you the "accepted phones". It is best to call your carrier and ask them how to transfer the phone book from your end only.

As to reception problems. If the carrier has a strong signal in your area, you should have no problems with your signal. Just make sure there are no headsets on in the car.

Default 7100g Lost Handsfree Option

Over the weekend someone asked me to take them off Speakerphone. I fooled around with my handset and was able to get them on the Handset without disconnecting. Now, my Handset pairs with my Lexus 400h; when a call comes in the radio goes down, the carscreen up, etc., but the voice is not on Speakerphone, only on my Handset. Does anyone know what I might have done? Thanks

You will be able to pair up 7100 series. Unfortunatelly, due to RIM/BlackBerry security 'features' there is no way to transfer the phone book.
Paragraph below is from the BB security document at:

http://www.blackberry.com/knowledgec...27186&vernum=1

"* BlackBerry device users must type a passkey to complete initial
connections with any Bluetooth wireless technology enabled device, and
they must manually accept all subsequent connections. Only by setting
the paired device to the status of trusted on BlackBerry can users
bypass the manual acceptance step. This capability is not enabled by
default on the BlackBerry.
* BlackBerry device users cannot compose or send SMS messages remotely
using Bluetooth technology.
* BlackBerry device users cannot access the address book remotely using
Bluetooth technology.
* BlackBerry device users cannot initiate phone calls (other than a
basic redial) using Bluetooth technology. "

The last two defeat the purpose of BT/Handsfree operation (no phone book and no voice activation).

People from US are reporting the new BlackBerry 8700 works perfectly with the Bluetooth System of the BMW...including the address book. Not sure about Lexus.

Good sound quality. That's needed cause the BB 7290 sound quality is not that good.

I also read reports that BB OS 4.1 (not released yet) will be able to transfer the phonebook to the car.

Hope this helps....

Does anyone report the fact that if they dial from their bluetooth phone you never hear the phone ring or the person answer? You have to watch the screen on the Lexus.
