Hey all,
I don't want to beat this to death, however, i have a very small MP3 sound (77 and the max is 500) i want to DL to my 7100i. I have tried "scan and DL" from gmail BUT the Nextel 7100i will not DL MP3's..... Is my only option to change my mp3 to a wav so it can be DL'ed??? In a nutshell, how the hell can i get one friggin 77mb sound to my Nextel 7100i that is in a mp3 form?? If i e-mail it to someone, can you change it to a WAV then send it to my phone e-mail so it can work??? I know this is a stupid question and bothersome but it is driving my nuts!!

BTW i have downloaded the new system and attachment software 4.10.376

as far as i have read the 7100i only supports midi

7100i's only take wav tones so you're only option is to convert it to a wav. There are all kinds of free programs out there to convert mps to wav.

with the upgrade they also take wav files.

Audacity is an amazing free audio editing and converting program. It's what I use and I have no problems. Check it out

Thanks for the info guys. I should have mentioned that i have DN'ed the ZEM Theme allowing me to download MP3's. I have so many WAV's but was wondering if a particular converting program was recommended...i will give Audacity a shot and let you know.

zen theme or not you can only do wavs

i tried a mp3 to wav convertor, got it to go to my 7100i, but it said "unable to save to device" for some reason and by the time i cut the song down to make it under 500kb, i only had a 3 sec ringer. do you have to compress the file somehow and why wouldnt it save to my phone? anyone?.....
