how long did you guys charge the battery first when you first got your BB? the manual says to charge it to full, i've heard others say to leave it for atleast 12 hours. i started using mine right away i just plugged it in the usb and let it charge while i played with it..do you guys think this could have killed the battery life? i've had 8 hours on it so far with maybe an hour of ramble im and 5 mins of talk time and i only have 75% left. is that normal?

Relax - it's the 21st century, battery technology is much better now, etc. etc. don't worry about it. Take it from me, you'll move to a newer/better device long long before your battery will "die". Just enjoy your BB device.

I used mine right from the store and almost had it die on me before it stopped the data transfer and told me i can only send and recieve calls till i charged it lmao.
So ya i dont think you gotta worry to much .If it makes you feel better let it die totally and then charge it fully should work out any kinks you might have.

I charged it to full. Took only an hour. I couldn't believe how fast it took.

I played with it until the battery was at 5% then charged it up overnight. Battery lasts 2-3 days, moderate use. Running 02 software.

Same here.. Waited till the green light stayed on and then it was good to go.

I just used it right away... Only for a bit, then charged it overnight.

i charged it for like 3 hrs when i first received it, after that i never let blackberry die completely before charging. i charge it like every 3 days, since i dont do data transfer and emails that much, i normally use it for talking and conferencing for like 3 hrs per day
