Just called Verizon and got my enV3 hooked back up. Whew! What a breath of fresh air!
Got tired of messing with it and hearing complaints about how I sound muffled. Apparently I don't sound crystal clear on this phone like I do on the enV3. Another real deal breaker for me was the lack of Voice Announce Caller ID and Text Message Read Out. These options are great when the phone is bed-side. Also, I live in Washington state where it's against the law use the hand held while driving--no phone in hand, no texting. Having the phone tell you who's calling or read out your messages to you in your earpiece is nice.
Tour was real quirky for me:
It went in "Alert" mode on it's own. I didn't know what that meant, double checked I had ringer on, etc. and it still wouldn't play back music, voice notes, wouldn't ring, nothing. Had to do another battery pull. grrr.
I would record a voice note, stop it but it would keep going [I]for hours [I] and I wouldn't know about it and it would drain the battery.
The battery IS sub par. As I've read there has been mixed feelings on this. Well, for me it's not that great especially compared to my enV3.
I expected to be able to just plug the phone in to my MacBook and have it been seen. It didn't. I turned on the mass storage thing like it said in some of the threads but nothing. Was going to dl some drivers but i say forget it!
Just got a call from my bf. He knows I'm on my enV3 again. He says, "Oh, man, much better! You don't sound like you're in Vietnam anymore." lol.
Thanks fellow forumers for all your help! Maybe a BB will be for me some where down the road but not right now! ...am returning it tomorrow!
