Blackberry latest OS on their website shows 2.7....but the latest OS here in the Forums is 4.5.69 or something like that for the 8100 pearl....which one is latest....im confused...

The one you are looking at is from your carrier, the ones on here are the latest version which you can use on your BB as long as it's for your medel.

Carriers like to take their time in releasing new OS versions for whatever reasons. As long as you download the OS from the proper OS/model thread, you should be fine. If you have any problems with a new OS, try the last version before it...or go back to the latest OS from your service provider. Easy stuff, just make sure you follow the directions...otherwise you're almost guaranteed to run in to problems.
