Default Purchasing Battery, etc for Tour

Please Login to Remove!

I need to order accessories. I saw there are non-OEM batteries that are 1600ma vs. 1400ma. Does anyone have experience with non-OEM batteries? Are they OK? Also where is the best place to buy accessories like chargers, cases, screen protectors, etc. I saw blackberrysource and of course ebay.

Yes OEM because of warranty reasons and performance......

Wirelessly posted

did you find battery life short-lived? Ive had my new Tour 2 weeks and for the first time my battery ran dead before 11pm (from 7am)
I moved up from an 8830 and NEVER went dead within a 24hr period.

Another vote for OEM, especially if you depend upon the device.

I've been using Seidio batteries for a while in various BlackBerry devices.
Always had good experiences with their products, and their service should you need it.

I've used Seido's in Treo's with no problem but I got spooked when I read a post on Pre-central (owned a palm Pre for one day before switching to BB) that said the Sprint car chargers deliver fewer milliamps than the Palm branded car chargers. I know enough about electronics to know that could be a problem. Guess I will try the Seido battery. I have not had problems with dead battery during this first week with BB but I depend on my handheld while travelling and am likely to burn it up one day a month.

I like the Seido clips/cases but haven't tried a battery yet, I am thinking I will if they are as good as you say.
