Default Web browsing size and speed

Please Login to Remove!

My biggest frustration with the Tour was web browsing until I searched and found a thread about setting column view and minimum font size. That made the web large enough to read.

My other frustration is it seems a little slow. I am on Sprint and can't switch. I don't know if it is a carrier problem or a browser problem. I loaded Bolt thinking it would be faster but it is not readable and does not appear to have adjustments like I mentioned above. Can anyone tell me the fastest browser that can be adjusted to be large enough to read? Any other tips on speeding up internet would be appreciated. I use WAP sites when available.

Some people like Opera Mini. Might be worth trying. Some websites are slow to load on the BlackBerry no matter what. Sites with a lot of scripts and a lot of images are always going to be slow. Sites with Flash don't work well as the BB does not support flash or Silverlight yet.

THanks Daphne. Do you have any sense if the SPrint network is slower than the VZW network or vice versa?

I use the I and O buttons to zoom in and out at the cursor while i'm using my browser to make things much easier!!! I've tried Opera Mini and with the tour the browsers are pretty similar. When i had a curve the Opera Mini was much better than the 4.5 browser though. I haven't noticed any network speed issues, usually after you click a link it's loaded up within a second or 2. Unless of course you have a really bad signal.

I've never used Sprint, I'm not sure.
