Default Blackberry Messenger not delivering messages?

Please Login to Remove!

My girlfriend has the pearl, and I have the 8830. BB messenger was working fine when she got her phone, but then, one day out of the blue, she stopped being able to receive my messages. They show up in her messages folder, but not in BB messenger. I can send and receive fine. I ended the conversation on her phone, and ended the conversation on mine, and then it worked again. But after a few messages, it stopped working once again. After ending both conversations, it works yet again.

I am sure that it will stop working in the future. Does anyone know why this is happening (and only on her end)? If the fix is just to end the convos and start over, so be it, but it seems like it shouldn't be happening at all.

Welcome to the forums! Have you tried a hard reset (Battery pull while the device is on) yet? If not, try and see if it clears it.

Just did. Hopefully this works. I won't know for a while, but if it happens again, I'll come back to this thread. Thanks for the help.

I am having troubles with all of our BB on our company BES. They are all Sprint and I have Alltel. I don't have any troubles with anyone on Alltel and the sister-in-law has Sprint and no troubles there. I can send to the people at work but I don't receive what they send. They also always have the unavailable symbol on them even when they are set to available. They see the same thing about me. Is it a BES setting? They are using 8330 & 8830. I have a 8330. Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks,
Leif

Default Same here

8830 with Verizon. Hard reset fixes the problem. But its reoccurs. Incoming messages show up in mailbox last line only. Outgoing show up in messenger. After the hard reset the incoming ones show up in the messenger, the outgoing ones are gone.

there is no reason or permanent solution its just something all blackberries have a problem with. the listed solution of a hard reset is the only known (temporary) cure. if you have your messages constantly being deleted seconds after being received and you already performed a hard reset, full system restore using the desktop manager is your next choice for a fix. dont worry, the desktop manager can save all your settings and contacts and apps for you.
