Here's what I suggest. Download JL_Cmder from
here. When you run it, select
You'll get back a text file named DeviceInfo.txt (which is saved to your %TEMP% directory) with info like this (from an 8700c):
- Hardware Id: 0x84000b03
- PIN: 0x????????
- OS Version: 0x0
- VM Version: 0x40100c2
- Radio ID: 0x0
- Vendor ID: 102[/FONT]
Post it here and someone may be able to help better identify it. I can say that the Vendor ID 102 is Cingular.
One other thing. Courtesy of a Google search (
http://www.google.com/search?sourcei...ackberry%2ecom), I looked through all the firmware downloads available on the Blackberry sites (some vendors like Verizon and T-Mobile host their own, but most host right from Blackberry.com). Here are the only vendors I found that had any 6200 OS downloads:
Vodafone UK
Rogers Wireless Inc.
Vodafone Netherlands
Orange UK (6230)
Bharti Tele-Ventures Limited (6230)
All Blackberry documentation starts
here.
Good luck.
