Default Unable to access my sd card

Please Login to Remove!

I just bought my first blackberry, a 8320. I also bought a 2GB micro SD card and after taking a few pictures the device alerted me that I was running out of memory to save the pictures. Then I tried to save the pics in the sd card but I cannot access it. Any thoughts?

I go to my pictures, then to device pictures and when I select move, then up, the upper that I get is a directory with the folders up, device memory and preloaded pictures but never to the sd card. What am I doing wrong?

Did you format the SD card when you first put it in the device?

The format doesn't work or the format worked but the card still doesn't work? Please be specific so we can help you out.

Are you sure the card is inserted properly? Is the BB plugged into a computer?

This morning I connected the BB to my computer (I wanted to transfer music). It prompted the option of mass storage and I said yes. I did manage to add music to the BB. Then I unplugged and went to work.

I took some pics and then the device was full.

When I got home I read some treads and I formatted the card. The format did work but did not solve the problem.

The blackberry is now connected to my computer. I turned off the mass storage option.

Thanks for all your help so far!

You need to set the default save option on the phone to the SD card and not device memory. Also, you can't access the card (from the phone) if its plugged into the computer. I think your problem is that you are automatically saving it to the device memory. I have an 8820 so i can't tell you exactly how to change it, but i know you can. Good luck.

**My GF has an 8310, i'll check it out tomorrow and post directions of you haven't figured it out yet.

Smile micro SD model for 8320

Hi this is another question on memory cards. I have come to terms of realizing that I need a memory card for my 8320. However, I tried my friend's micro sd 2 sandisk first ....and it doesn't fit. Would you know what the correct brand, model, or specification I should buy for the 8320? Many thanks!

Wirelessly posted (BB 8860: BlackBerry8320/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

It takes a "microSD" or "microSDHC"

If you tried one andb it didn't fit you likely were installing it incorrectly.
