Something seems wrong. I checked C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion/Apploader.
I deleted the apploader folder and then double clicked the downloaded file which went through the decompressing motions and I pressed cancel at the intellimode install screen. But there was no Apploader folder in the above location so I don't know where it decompressed to.
I do have a 9900 from TMobile. Profile is a tad old...about 13 devices ago. I downloaded the Asia only, now getting the all languages one to see if that makes a difference.

The files are in the Shared subfolder. Not Apploader.
Fine, so I've now restored the Apploader which has the 26/05 files. In the shared there is 2 folders, a previous update and the new one created today. Some of the files in the subolders of the folder created today have 19 August dates.
I deleted the vendor file in apploader though there is no 'compatibility files' on my folder window despite using W7.
I can try it but this is what I had previously and it made no difference.
Finally completed reinstallation. I had backed up all 3rd party apps on BBSAK and my data on BB desktop. The data has been restored but not all the settings which I can do manually. However BBSAK will not restore the 3rd party apps. Other than manually reinstalling all apps can I restore the cods from BBSAK's backup folder?
For future reference is there any way of saving all settings, data and 3rd party apps before upgrading so that I get it back after the upgrade just as it was, bar the os upgrade?
