Default Unlocked Verizon Tour 9360. Currently On at&t

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, im new to blackberry forums, I was wondering if i could send the at&t service books to my 9360 that i currently have on at&t. I am on a Blackberry plan (30$/month). What do i gain by sending the service books to my phone? Is this needed to access 3rd party browsers such as opera mini? If someone knows how to send the at&t service books without contacting at&t to send them please tell me. If someone has a file with the service books they can post it to this forum or send the file to pogo135@gmail.com. Thanks

A service book details how your BlackBerry will connect with RIMxxx8217;s servers and enables certain features that require a different configuration. Without specific service books your BlackBerry will be limited in its functionality. For example, the browser and each email address you have each have their own service book needed for them to function.
Google at&t bis, logon and send yourself the service books.

Maybe I'm missing something, but why would you want to do that? If you have a phone on AT&T it won't work with Verizon since they are on different networks (GSM vs CDMA).

A generic data plan is least you need to access 3rd party browsers like Opera Mini and Bolt Browsers. Those are services assigned/allowed for your line and not service books.

The Tour 9630 is quad band. It will work on AT&T and Verizon.

The problem the OP has is that AT&T doesn't carry that device so the generic service books are needed first.

To the OP, if you search for "getting all the features on a 9630 or a 9530", you will find instructions and service books to do this.

yes i understand that verizon is cdma or whatever its called. but the verizon tour is a world phone with a sim card slot. if i unlock the tour and change some setting so it works off the sim card, will it work with at&t. if i cannot get 3g it doesnt matter to me. thanks for the info
