Default Calendar entries not syncing from device to Outlook

Please Login to Remove!

Hi Guys

I recently had a new blackberry 8120 as my old one was damaged. Ever since I re-synced everything onto the new device, I noticed that my 800+ calendar entries from MS Outlook 2003 have disappeared from my computer, but are all still listed in my blackberry.

When I try to sync my blackberry (I even tried a one-way sync from device to computer only), it will not sync all my calendar entries back onto the computer -only a handful of new entries.

Can anyone please advise on how to overcome this?!

Thanks in advance,

Paul C

Default Ps...

When I go into calendar options on my handset, it seems as though I have two calendar files on the blackberry with an identical name.

I think the Outlook is trying to sync with the newer one of these files (hence it is missing all my old entries in the older file), whereas I want Outlook to sync with the older file.

Any ideas on how I can delete the identical new calendar file from my handset?

Thanks again!

Go into the BlackBerry Desktop Manager and back into the Sync Configuration on your calendar, there is an option there to "sync future items only" that might be it.

I got it to work. I have two email addresses on my blackberry, one from my school and one from tmo.blackberry.net. Apparently, it only syncs if I switch to my school email. It really didn't matter which one I used because they all display the same. And if you have two calendars, just go to options and make the display color "none" to hide it.

Hope this helps.

Default The solution?!

I think I sorted it, and here's how I did it:

1. I completely wiped the handset, to restore it to factory settings.
2. I connected the handset to Desktop Manager and then stopped it from syncing immediately (mine automatically syncs on connecting to Desktop Manager.)
3. I went to Backup and Restore and then Advanced.
4. I opened up my most recent Backup file and then selected everything to restore to the handset except Calendar, Address Book, Tasks and Memopad. I then restored all these items to the handset.
5. Once that was done, I synced the handset as normal through Desktop Manager (which then restored my Calendar, Address Book, Tasks and Memopad.)

Doing this removed all duplicate Calendar entries and now, it syncs completely normal.
