Please Login to Remove!

I can't get my camera to work on my new pearl - gives me an error to close other applications - so removed the battery, re-booted, and still doesn't work?

any ideas?

Sounds like a memory problem. If you're taking pictures and just saving them into device memory, you'll run out of space pretty quick (especially if you've tossed a few mp3's in as well). Eventually the camera will balk because there isn't any memory to save more pictures.

I had my phone for 3 days and realized that I needed the microSD card expansion!

that happened to me once too... I beleive the problem was that I just stopped playing music or a movie and hit the red button to exit instead of backing out of the player. For some reason the player stays running in the background and does not allow you to use the camera untill you back out (exit) the media player. Try opening the media icon and you will notice that it goes right to the player instead of the file folders. Now you have to exit with the back button(the loop button just left of the red "hang up" button). Back up all the way to the home screen and try using camera. Let me know if that is the issue... hope it helps!

OK first off the pearl dos not come with a memory card unless you went out and got one and put it in the MicroSD slot under the battery if not you only have the 64MB of flash memory and of that half is already taken up with by the OS. Here is my question did it work when you first got it? Did you save all those pictures to the BB's internal memory? If you said yes then go delete some of those pictures! your out of space on your BB's flash memory. Then get up and walk away from your computer and go to Best Buy and buy yourself a 1 to 2 gig MicroSD card. come home pull the battery and slide the MicroSD card into its little home and everything will work out just fine...
Before you say I thought the 2gig card wont work - it will if you upgrade your OS to the rogers or vodafone thats easly downloaded..

A 512MB card is more than sufficient to hold pictures given that each image is 200-300kB in size. This enables you to take 1500-2500 pictures on the card. Taking any more pictures than this without syncing to a PC is unlikely (it's a better backup strategy to transfer pictures regularly in case of card failure).

A 1GB or 2GB card makes sense for users who are storing music, video, or using their BB for data file storage. Also, makes sense for anyone that has to have the biggest. Just my 2 cents.
