Default Transition from BIS to BES

Please Login to Remove!

I have been using BIS to access my company e-mails. Finally, the Company installed a BES!! After setting up on the BES, I deleted the company e-mail from the BIS so I didn't get double messages. It all works great except for the fact that I can no longer open attachments or get "more" on e-mails prior to the transition. The e-mail is still on my BB and in my PC in-box. An error pops up saying "service book not found" when I try to get more or an attachment on an old e-mail. Any ideas or work arounds?

You need to re-send those emails to yourself.

Is there anyway to do it without resending? Resending will lose the history of when they originally arrived.

If you've removed the account then there is nowhere for them to download the information from. You're out of luck.

If you are trying to retrieve more of an email that was sent to an account that you removed the service book for (to avoid duplicate emails on the device) then there is nowhere for the device to retrieve more from. You removed the service book, and thus, the access to the remainder of those emails.

This is one point I give to the exchange access on Windows Mobile and Symbian devices. They can recover old emails as well...not just new messages.
