Default BES - inbox unsynchronises itself

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,
I have been having an issue for a couple of weeks now. My device is setup for BES and so synchronises with Outlook. But after about 3-4 days, the Inbox will "un-synchronise". When that happens, emails do not get delivered to the device but I can still send emails from the device.

Anytime it happens I contact my administrator and he says the Inbox had to be added for synchronisation. Since this has now happened about 6 times, I asked and was told it might be because I connect to a pc and desktop manager adjusts the settings. However, I hardly used DM and I checked the DM settings to be sure and didn't see any issue there (Under email message redirection: forward incoming emails is checked and turn-off email redirection whilst device is connected is unchecked).

Mostly, the emails stop dropping right after midnight (at which time I'd be asleep and the device is not connected to any pc).

Any ideas what might be the issue?
thank you!

Go into Messages > Options > Email Settings > Folder Redirection and see if Mailbox is check (the next time you experience this issue).

Also, what version of BES are you running?

Ok, I will check on that the next time it happens. Unfortunately, I have no idea what version of BES is being used by my company.

One thing as I went to the folder redirection (I was trying it out) I didn't see any check mark, but I am currently receiving mails. When I clicked on it no check mark appeared, but it did ask me whether to save the changes I made. Is that how it should be? (and I didn't save as currently everything is working fine).

thanks

When you go into it, you will need to expand it first, then you should see a check next to Mailbox and Sent.

Ok, I've seen it now. The check is a blue box, and my highlight was blue so I didn't notice it at first. Thanks for that.
